Our Staff


Dori Torkildson, Manager

Dori comes to us with over 12 years of experience in the veterinary field.  She earned her AS degree accounting & her BA degree in Business Administration from Minot State University.  Dori has two grown daughters and a dog named "Wilson".  

She really enjoys time with friends & family, reading, sitting at a good bonfire, and being outdoors.  During the summer you can usually find her either at the lake boating or riding motorcycle with her significant other.  And if she is on vacation in the winter you can bet she has gone someplace warm.



Mari Jameson, Receptionist

Mari has been with us since day one!  She is so glad she gets to be part of a growing company and says every day is filled with adventure from the time she walks in until we lock the doors at the end of the day.

When she isn't spending time with us she loves spending time with her '10 biggest fans', her grandkids!  She also enjoys quilting and dabbling in photography.

She recently moved to Fargo with her husband Joe.



Connie Goss, Receptionist

Connie has been on our team for almost 5 of her 24 years in the veterinary receptionist profession.  She grew up on a farm outside of Arthur, ND. She has also resided in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia before moving to Fargo. She has lived in Fargo for the past 40 years. Connie and her husband Rick have one son, Rick, and a granddaughter Raina Marie that they adopted in 2016.   

In her spare time she enjoys sewing, gardening, reading and baking.  She is also an avid Vikings and Twins fan and attends many FM Red Hawks games with her family.

Connie has a silver Tabby named Caprica and a Grey DSH named Tater. Cats are Connie's favorite, but she loves all animals.



Jennifer Schatzke, Receptionist

Jennifer joins our team from Leonard, ND. She has worked in customer service for many years and enjoys meeting so many new people. 

She is very family oriented.  In her free time it's not uncommon to find her spending time with her mom, 1 of her four sisters, or her nieces and nephew.

Jennifer has a 16 year old cat named Hemi, who loves to play rough and be brushed out. She also has a 2 year old Australian Shepherd named Finn, who has a spunky personality and loves to play fetch.

Outside of work Jennifer enjoys watching Hallmark movies, taking random road trips, hanging with family and friends, and playing basketball.  Eventually when life slows down a little she would like to pick up crocheting.

Rachel Olson, Receptionist

Rachel graduated from NDSU in 2006 with a bachelor degree in veterinary technology. She practiced in Rugby where she grew up for a few years before moving on to teaching vet tech classes at Globe University for 2 years. She went back to being a vet tech when Dr. Alicia opened up the clinic here. She was here for 2 and a half years and during that time she found her love of eyes. Now she currently works full-time at TLC Laser Eye Centers. After a few year break she came back to work as a receptionist on evenings and weekends.

She loves delivering excellent customer service to our clients. She also enjoys working closely with other team members who share the same passion of working with animals. 

Rachel resides in Fargo with her husband Chris. They have a Cane Corso named Eva and 2 cats named Ewok and Pyro. She has 2 step kids and 3 step grandkids. 

Her special interests include anything that involves food and fun

Lacey Gebeke, Receptionist

Lacey was born and raised in Frazee, MN and Fargo, ND. Since then she has had the opportunity to live in Grand Forks, ND, Charleston, SC, and Minneapolis, MN before back to Fargo in 2012.

She originally worked in the human healthcare world but due to a curveball that was thrown her way, she now has found an equally fulfilling career in the animal world. 

Lacey enjoys helping people and animals in their time of need and in general. She loves being able to interact with our clients.

She is the youngest of 2 children, but she also has 2 older step siblings. She is the proud aunt to 7 amazing kiddo's. She has 4 fur babies (cats) at home named Max, Zoe, Jada and George.

In her spare time, she likes spending time with family and friends. She enjoys sewing and quilting as well as going out to listen and dance to some live music. During the summer time she can be found out at the lakes or biking. Overall she is a big animal lover and Disney nerd. 

Our Technicians


Tina Paintner, LVT

Tina graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in December of 2011 with her Associates in Veterinary Technology. Her special interests include small animal dentistry and behavior. Tina grew up on a farm outside of Cooperstown, ND and always knew that she wanted to be a veterinary technician. She is very pleased to be starting her career here at Prairie Winds Veterinary Center.

She lives in West Fargo with her husband Cole and their daughters Rayne and Hayden. They also have 3 adorable cats. Boo a Persian Mix and their two newest additions Roxy and Meiko. They are both Domestic Short Hairs. They look forward to rescuing a family dog in the future.

In her spare time, Tina enjoys relaxing and being with her family.  She also enjoys drawing, crafting, and reading. Her and her husband recently started running and look forward to training for many marathons in the future.


Tonah Dickhaus, LVT

Tonah graduated from North Dakota State University in 2002, with her bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology.  She is a member of the North Dakota Veterinary Technician Association (NDVTA) and has served as the Secretary from 2005 to 2009 and is currently serving as the newsletter editor.  Tonah completed her PennHIP certification in 2012. 

Tonah and her husband Jeff have three sons, Landon, Riley and Greyson.  They share their home with two dogs: T.J. (Cavalier King Charles) and Sadie (Cavalier King Charles mix).  In her spare time, Tonah enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She is an avid reader and likes being outdoors. 



Mallory Myszka, LVT

Mallory grew up in the Fargo area and graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2012. Her interest in veterinary medicine started with watching Emergency Vets on Animal Planet, right away she knew that was what she wanted to do.  She enjoys all kinds of animals from furry to scaly! 

When she is not working she enjoys reading, going to movies, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

She currently has a dog named Lola, a troublesome cat named Earl, and two guinea pigs, Petri and Ducky.

Her and her husband Kole recently bought their first home in Moorhead so she is looking forward to creating many new memories and maybe adding a few new furry members to the family!             



Anna Plesuk, LVT

Anna received her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2010.  She loves working with small animal, especially critical care and senior patients.  She has a soft-spot for a grey-faced golden!  

She lives in Fargo with her husband Tim, daughter Grace, son Colton, and dog Edith.

In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with family, running, & watching Bison athletics.

LeAnna Klaphake, LVT

LeAnna grew up in Melrose, MN and from there moved to Fargo, ND for school at NDSU. She graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology and a minor in Large Animal Science, Equine Science, and Animal Science.

She grew up with a diabetic dog. She loves doing the research on diabetes and she likes to help clients understand the disease. She also enjoys working with patients that are on prescription diets, who have behavioral issues and those seen on urgent care. Each case involves research, diagnostics and strong communication, all of which she has a special interest in doing. 

LeAnna resides in Argusville with her husband Ethan. They have a 11 year old Golden Retriever mix named Zoe, a 3 year old cat named George, a 1 year old Pyrenees/ Shepherd Mix named Liam, and a puppy Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Mauii.

In her spare time she can be found 4-wheeling/ mudding, camping, or out paintballing.

Kate Gefroh, LVT

Kate is originally from Hawley, MN and she went to college in Fargo before moving to Grand Forks for 3 years.  She recently moved back to Fargo to be closer to friends and family and to join our clinic.

Kate has always had a passion for healthcare and for animals. Her family had lots of dags and cats growing up and she always thought she would become a veterinarian.  She heard about the Veterinary Technician program at NDSU and decided to apply.  She did very well in her classes and loved learning all the skills involved.

Kate enjoys assisting in surgeries and learning about all the different procedures we do including dentistry, orthopedics, and soft tissue surgery.

Kate currently lives in Fargo with her husband Rylee and their daughter Rosabella. Together they have three fur babies, Sweetie the tortie, Leo the Siamese, and Ralph a Great Pyrenees Mix.  

In her off time Kate enjoys hanging out at Lake Bijou with friends, going out on the pontoon, and visiting with family.

Tabatha Carter, LVT

Tabatha grew up on a farm near Georgetown,MN where they cared for a wide range of animals.  That is how Tabatha realized she wanted to grow up to work in the veterinary field.

She graduated from Globe University in 2011 and started working as a licensed veterinarian technician a few months after.  She joined our team in February of 2017.  Tabatha has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and is currently working towards her specialty in dentistry.

Tabatha currently lives in Fargo with her husband Paul and together they have 5 children, Calvin, Tristin, Jayden, Austin and Lyla.  They also have two dogs, Piston who is a terrier mix, and Pirelli an Italian Greyhound, one cat named Niffers, 4 chickens, 3 ducks and 1 rabbit.

When she isn't busy with work or remodeling their home, Tabatha enjoys camping and doing anything outdoors.



Andrea Pearson, LVT

Andrea's entire life has involved animals.  As a toddler on the farm, her 'babysitter' was often a couple of Cocker Spaniels.  Her goal is to serve them and provide their 'people' with insight and knowledge to give them the fullest and best life possible.

She has worked on various farms and veterinary clinics since childhood.  Attending college, she focused on a pre-vet with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and music performance.  Her life briefly changed routes, and she became an award winning photographer, traveling and training in different areas.   Andrea finished school with an Associates in Veterinary Technology.

Andrea's professional interests include animal behavior and training, rehab, critical care, nutrition and client education.  She is very passionate about what she does and wants to help everyone improve their human-animal bond.  In 2016 I was named North Dakota Veterinary Technician of the year!  She is a member of several Vet Tech clubs, rescue organizations:emergency/high risk rescue services, Basic Animal Response Team and The Minnesota Coonhound Association.  She loves all hounds!  Andrea is also a nationally resgistered Emergency Medical Technician and a Certified Fire Fighter for her community.

She currently lives with her husband, Jeremy,  and their fur babies Bubba, Killer, Dakotah Sioux, Emmy Lou, Hand, KD, 50 chickens and several horses at the family farm.

In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycle runs, traveling gardening, and anything outdoors.  She is also obsessed with football and hockey.

Mackenzie Bartsch, LVT

Mackenzie fell in love with the animal nursing world after finding 3 orphaned mice in her garden shed. Unfortunately she didn't have the knowledge or skill required to save them at that time. In order to change that, she enrolled at NDSU. She believes that every pet deserves the longest, healthiest, happiest life possible. By providing excellent care and client education, everyone can make that possible.

She is from Maple Grove, MN, which is near Minneapolis. She comes from a family of Bison fans. Her mom, dad, older sister, younger brother, and herself are all Bison alumni. Her younger sister who has down syndome may opt to go to a cosmetology school.

A large portion of a LVT's job is making patients feel safe in our care. It's a huge challenge for some pets, so her goal is to some day specialize in animal behavior and fear free practice.

She has an 8 1/2 year old Shih Tzu/ Bichon named Hazel. She worships humans, their trash, and guinea pigs. Her favorite past times include ignoring her human, sleeping, eating, and playing fetch. 

When she isn't dead lifting dogs, she can be typically found binge-watching TV shows or enjoying a night out with friends.

Haley Hvidsten, VT

Haley grew up in the Fargo area before she moved to Willmar, MN to attend college. After graduating, she moved back to the area.

She graduated from Ridgewater College in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Technology.

Haley has a German Shepherd named Bane and a Corn Snake named Sedona.

In her free time, she likes to paint and draw or hang out with family and friends.

Heather Erickson, LVT

Heather graduated from NDSU in 2013 with a degree in Veterinary Technology.

She grew up in Devils Lake, ND and later moved to Fargo in 2010 for school.

She got into the Vet Tech program because she likes to learn new things about animals and loves to make a difference for them. She has a special interest in the emergency cases.

Heather lives with her husband Brian and son Parker. They have 2 Mini Australian Shepherds named Abby and Shooter and 2 cats named Clyde and Goober.

In her spare time, she can be found spending time with her family and playing softball.

Tammy Treitline, LVT, VTS-EVN

Tammy was born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

She graduated from the NDSU Veterinary Technology program in 1997, then pursued a career in mixed animal practice. Throughout the years, she developed more of an interest in large animals, especially equine. In 2011-2012, she obtained a Veterinary Technician Specialty in Equine Veterinary Nursing.

Tammy was nominated for the North Dakota Veterinary Technician of the Year in October 1998. She later won that same award in October 2011.

She has always had an interest in animals especially horses, she enjoys watching them grow and develop. She realized early on that Veterinary Medicine (whether it was preventative care or health issues) was a part of that interest. That is what inspired her to learn more about the Veterinary Medicine and the different aspects of it.

Tammy enjoys spending time working with her horses and her 8 year old Rottweiler named Jade.

In her free time, she can be found fishing, hiking and camping.

Kari Bolgrean, LVT

Kari was born and raised in Moorhead, MN. She currently still resides there with her boyfriend and step kids.

She graduated from NDSU in 2007 with a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology.

Kari is passionate about working with animals and loves being able to nurse them back to health. She also enjoys working with the clients and educating them on various topics. Someday she would like to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse.

At home she has 3 dogs named Tucker, FynnLee and Ranger and 3 cats named Doofus, Minnie, and Wilbur. She also has a Quarter Horse named Lady.

In her free time she can be found hunting, fishing, riding horse, 4 wheeling, going to the lakes, watching movies, or hanging with family and friends.

Katie Tahirovic, LVT

Katie was raised in Glyndon, MN before her family moved to Wisconsin when she was a teen. She later moved to Fargo to attend college. 

She started out by studying Criminal Justice/ Psychology and after 2 years she realized that all of her electives were Animal Science related. After taking a step back, she re-evaluated and decided to follow her passion of animals. In 2017, she graduated from Globe University's Veterinary Technology program.

Katie was raised on a farm with many species of livestock, dogs, and cats. Animal husbandry and care has always been a passion of hers. She particularly enjoyed raising market goats and all the springtime farm babies who needed care.

Her favorite areas of work involve emergency surgeries, urgent care, anesthetic monitoring, and OB/GYN- type cases. She is dedicated to helping alleviate pain and improving the quality of life of animals.

Katie married her husband San in 2017, since then they have welcomed their son Dario and daughter Mila. At home, they have a cat named Harold, who loves his attention. Back home at the farm, they have 2 happy go lucky dogs named Diesel and Radar.

When she isn't working, she can be found fishing, attending the zoo, mini golfing, cooking, baking, taking photos, traveling, or learning new things. 

Kori Kapsner, LVT

Kori grew up in Monticello, MN before moving here to Fargo for school. 

She graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology and an emphasis in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Ever since she was little she knew she wanted to work with animals. Kori did an internship in Fort Collins, CO and fell in love with animal rehabilitation and therapy. One day she hopes to be get certified in this area. She loves building the relationship with the client and loves seeing the patient progress as time goes by.

Back home she has 3 cats named Puddin', Oliver, and Eureka. Here is Fargo she shares a Black Lab named Nova with her roommate.

In her free time, she can be found reading books or playing video games. Fun little fact, she knows how to play 7 different instruments.

Amy Buethner

Amy has loved animals since she was a little girl.  She grew up on a farm so had many kinds of animals both small & large.  Amy lives in Fargo with her daughter Faith & they share their house with 2 cats, Alice & Simon.  In her spare time Amy enjoys spending time with family & friends, fishing, riding horse, movies & just relaxing.
